This middle of October makes us face an emotional moment due to the organisation of the International Astronomy Olympiad. The guests were prepared a wide range of activities that facilitated both entertainment and experiences that could lead to enriching their cultural relationships.
Taking into account our experience in organising international contests and European projects, the National College of Computer Science hosted the study visit of the team leaders of the participants in IAO on Monday, October 21st. For two hours, the team leaders interacted with the science teachers and the students, attending physics, chemistry and biology experiments that were on in the laboratories of the College.
The visit continued with a German class in the phonetics Lab and a Computer Science class in the informatics lab. Later, the members of the Robotics Club organised an interactive demonstration of their activity which led to interesting discussions about the technology of the future. The activity ended with exchanges of opinion about the study of physics, interactive and innovative teaching techniques and the students’ interest for astronomy.
During the coffee break the guests were offered the English magazine of the College, Infopuls and the school’s presentation leaflet.
Our guests appreciated the students’ creativity, the teachers’ open-mindedness and their hard work.
